FOCS hosts feast to strengthen bond with IDPs

Imphal, August 09 2026: The Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS), Manipur organised a feast to strengthen the bond of affection with the leaders of various committees formed for the welfare of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at its office at Kaboleikai near War Cemetery today.

According to a press release issued by FOCS, the programme was organised with the thought that FOCS will stand with the IDPs in their sufferings.

It stated that FOCS feels the hardships faced by the IDPs due to the conflict that has crossed three years and has been urging the Government to take concrete steps to end the conflict at the earliest and resolve the suffering of the people.

FOCS has also held several meetings with the IDPs in the past, shared their grief and extended full support to their demands.

At today's feast-cum-meeting, various issues were discussed with the IDP leaders and it was resolved to work together to resolve the hardships.
