'Kha-gi Leibak Yunnan', Meitei Pangal Luhongba..' released

The second edition of the book "Kha-gi Leibak Yunnan" written by Hareshwar Goshwami (Oja Imo) was released in a function at JN Manipur Dance Academy auditorium, here, on Thursday.
The function organised by Kangla Publications was attended by Manipur Sahitya Parishad president Longjam Joychandra, and Sahitya Akademi awardees Saratchand Thiyam and Thokchom Ibohanbi as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
The book available both in Bengali script and Meetei Mayek is enlisted in the MA Manipuri syllabus in Assam University.
It is said that English version of the book will also be released very soon.
Manipur University Manipuri Department associate professor Wahengbam Kumari Chanu shared her thoughts on the book.
Meanwhile, Meitei Pangal Luhongba Amasung Masigi Chatnarol', a book penned by MM Ahmad was released in a function organised by Writers' Union Imphal at Manipur Press Club, here, on Thursday.
The book releasing function was attended by Manipur Literary Society, Imphal president Nongmaithem Kiran-kumar as chief guest, Union president Dr Sayed Ahmad as president and Manipur University of Culture assistant professor Makhonmani Mongsaba as guest of honour.
In another function held at Manipur Press Club, the English translation of Jana-neta Hijam Irabot's Manipuri poetry book, "Imagi Pujah," translated by Sanasam Umanada and retitled as, Adoration of Mother' and published by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, was release.
Organised jointly by Irabot Celebration Committee (ICC), Manipur and Manipur State Shumang Leela Council, the function was attended by Manipuri Language Advisory Board Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi convenor Prof Rajen Toijamba, ICC Manipur chairman Dr M Nara and Leela Council president M Purnimasi Leima as presidium members.

on the book.
