Workshop on drug abuse prevention ends

The 3-day workshop cum training programme on 'Creating Awareness on Drug Abuse Prevention' jointly organised by National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), Hyderabad and State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Imphal concluded at Porompat SIRD hall, on Thursday.
On the concluding day of the workshop, NIRD&PR associate professor SN Rao, TWILIGHT Drug De-Addiction cum Rehabilitation Centre manager Prabin Ningombam, who is also the executive member of Centre for Humanity's Betterment (CHuB), RIMS assistant professor Dr L Roshan Singh and RIMS Psychiatry Department Regional Resource Coordinating Centre regional coordinator Th Indira Devi spoke on "Drug Free Village: Role of Gram Panchayat: A Case Study", "Psychological Impact Due to Drug Abuse", "Role of Civil Society in Creation of Awareness on Drug Abuse Prevention" and "Role of Women/Parents in Drug Abuse Prevention" respectively.
Speaking during the function, SIRD Imphal director P Gojendro expressed gratitude to the resource persons for sharing their expertise and providing insight in their respective fields to the participants.
He also expressed gratitude to the SN Rao of NIRD&PR Hyderabad and Dilip Kshetrimayum of SIRD for their contributions in making the function a grand success.
