Aid extended to IDPs; medical camp held

Imphal, March 21 2024:
Assam Rifles assessed the requirements of internally displaced people (IDPs) residing in relief camps at Moirang, Kwakta and nearby villages and distributed utensils including pressure cookers to them on March 19 .
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the distribution was conducted in coordination with Ex-Servicemen Association of Bishnupur to aid the IDPs in their daily routine.
A total of 400 IDPs staying in the relief camps directly benefitted from the assistance provided, it added.
Meanwhile, Army extended support to a medical camp organised by Regional Institute of Medical Sciences RIMS), Imphal at Leimaram relief camp on Wednesday.
Recognising the importance of maintaining the health standards of the locals the Army under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) took the lead in ensuring that the doctors from RIMS were provided security during conduct of the medical camp for villagers residing in Leimaram relief camp, a release by PRO IGAR (S) said.
