Long March ends at Malom on 16th day

Imphal, January 04 2024:
On the 16th day of the Long March of Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) organised on the theme 'National Regeneration', the marchers began from Mayang Imphal and halted for the night at Malom on Thursday.
The long march resumed from Mayang Imphal Pravabati College around 7 am and after passing through Kokchai, Ushoipokpi, Santipur and Waheng Khuman halted at Leimapokpam in Bishnupur district for a public meeting held at LASSAL ground, Leimapokpam Mayai Leikai.
Manipur University professor Dr Chinglen Maisnam and Naharolgi Thoudang editor Khoirom Loyalakpa were the main speakers at the public meeting held in connection with the long march.
Later, the marchers continued their procession from Leimapokpam and ended at Malom after passing through Thiyam Langpok, Lairenjam, Mekola and Changangei.
The second public meeting of the day was held at Malom Tuliyaima Ibudhou Pakhangba Laibung with Women and Child Rights activist Narengbam Nonibala and retired Prof W Nabakumar as the speakers.
