Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy : Priyobrata's all round heroics help TCMDC crush SHADOW by 153 runs

Sarangthem Priyobrata starred with both the bat and ball to help TCMDC-Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak overwhelm SHADOW-Thangmeiband Kabrambam Leikai by 153 runs in a Group B tie of the ongoing 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy here at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Sarangthem Priyobrata who came in at 3 smashed 10 fours and 2 sixes on the way to his 46-ball 70 while Suraj Kharibam remained not out on 42 with Arshad Ali 20 (not out) to help toss winners TCMDC post a competitive total of 183 for 3 wickets.

N Arbin then ran riot across the SHADOW batting line up in the chase by fetching five wickets (5/10 in 4 overs) before Sarangthem Priyobrata swept the three tail enders to return with 3/4 in 1.2 overs and ended SHADOW innings at 30 in 11.2 overs.
Only Sagatpam Lanchenba 14 not out reached the double digit score for SHADOW in the chase as three batters including an opener departed on ducks.
Priyobrata, who starred in TCMDC's third win in five matches, was eventually adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College Ground, SSU-Singjamei Kakwa defeated IBSA-Yumnam Leikai by 33 runs for their second Group A win in five matches.
SSU won the toss and piled up 143/5 after opting to bat first thanks to Ningombam Sanjoy's 40-ball 55 (5 fours and 2 sixes) and Sougrakpam Douglas 32 not out.
SSU then bowled out IBSA for 110 runs within 18.4 overs thanks to a concerted bowling efforts from Bollanath (3/16 in 3.4 overs), Sougrakpam Douglas (2/11 in 3 overs), Ningombam Sanjoy (2/39 in 4 overs) and Saikhomba Thongam (2/18 in 2 overs) .
Boney Potsangbam picked two wickets in SSU's innings before they fell to 110 all out despite Khundrakpam Lemba Singh's 35-ball 45 and MK Tamim's late 13-ball 17 .
S Douglas who shone with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.
In a Group C match staged at Moijing Public Ground, AKSDO-Khangabok registered their third win by beating YWC-Patsoi by 86 runs.
Chinglensana Moirangthem scored an unbeaten 99 off 64 balls and Bishorjit Mangang scored a 47-ball 55 to help AKSDO post a commendable total of 200/2 after winning the toss and rode on Winchelly Laishram's four wicket haul (4/16 in 3 overs) and two wicket hauls by Akash Laishram (2/23) and Sanathoi Ningthoujam (2/7) to bowl out YWC-P for 114 runs.
Devachandra Ch picked two wickets for YWC-P before Johnson Lai 20, Shitaljit Wangkhem 19 and Ashiskumar Wakongthem led the YWC-P batting in the chase.
Chinglensana Moirangthem was eventually adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, both Md Ataur Rahaman and Ksh Robert scored unbeaten 51 apiece and finished with similar bowling figures of 2/16 in 4 overs and 2/17 in 4 overs respectively to help CDCC-Sagolband Salam Leikai notch up a comfortable 97 run victory over PSC-Khuyathong.
Konjenbam Monish 26, Priyojit Narengbam 30 and Thounaojam Rakesh 34 provided initial flourish for CDCC, who opted to bat first, on the way to a commanding total of 206/3.The innings saw Chandreshwar Shah pick two wickets and Ibungomacha claiming one.
In the chase, PSC faced a tough time and were eventually bundled out for 109 runs in 19.4 overs as Fm Sharif claimed four crucial wickets (4/24 in 2.4 overs) to cut short the innings after bowling performances from Ataur Rahaman and Ksh Robert.
Md Ataur Rahaman was named man of the match.
