67th National School Games : L Lanchenba bags swimming gold, U-17 boys cruise into sepak takraw quarters

Laitonjam Lanchenba won Manipur a gold medal in the 67th National School Games U-14 and U-17 Swimming competition underway in NCT Delhi.
Lanchenba bagged the gold medal in the U-14 boys 50 m butterfly stroke competition with the best time of 27.11 seconds today.
Meanwhile, Manipur U-17 boys have sealed a place in the quarter finals of the 67th National School Games Sepak Takraw being underway in Bihar with their second straight Group (B) stage victory.

The Manipur team who demolished Tamil Nadu 21-3, 21-5 in their opening match yesterday pulled off another easy 21-5, 21-5 win over Gujarat to top Group table and confirm a place in the quarter finals.
They will meet Group D runners in the quarter finals.
Meanwhile, State U-19 girls kicked off their Group campaign with a 21-12, 24-22 over hosts Bihar today.
They will play Madhya Pradesh in the next Group (A) match.
Manipur U-14 boys Badminton team in the meantime opened the 67th National School Games badminton with a straight set victory over West Bengal today in NCT-Delhi.
