Barak Manipur Friendship Association provides relief materials

The Barak Manipur Friendship Association (BMFA) provided relief items from Silchar for the conflict victims taking refuge at relief shelters in Manipur, which has been witnessing ethnic clashes over the past few months.
Speaking in connection with the initiative, Biswadeep Gupta, president BMFA, said the relief materials have been sent to help the conflict victims who have been experiencing a rough time for the past many months due to the volatile situation in Manipur, said a press release by BMFA.
He urged the organisations and civil society groups of the valley to come forward and extend their helping hand to the affected people of Manipur.
Biswadeep assured that to continue sending relief items for the conflict victims staying at relief shelters and chalk out more plans to help the people in these troubled times.
He thanked Meira-Paibis of Barak Valley, Assam University Non-Teaching Employees Association, Lions' Club of Silchar Valley, Youths Against Social Evils and many others for providing the relief materials.
He also expressed gratitude to the Jiribam Superintendent of Police's office for the help in the transportation process of the relief items from Silchar to Manipur.
