Social Welfare Minister Heikham Dingo, Moirang AC MLA Thongam Shanti, Director General of Manipur Police Rajiv Singh, Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh and top brass of Manipur police and paramilitary force also attended the programme.
Speaking to the media by the sideline of the ceremony, Govindas Konthoujam expressed sorrow over the killing of the two security personnel Havildar Takhellambam Saileshwore and W Somorjit.
Saying that the Kuki narco-terrorists used highly sophisticated weapons which are supposed to be used in a war while attacking State forces at Moreh, Govindas added that the ambition of Kuki narco-terrorists is to drive out all other communities from Moreh and make the border town their base.
The Minister said that a high level meeting was chaired by Chief Minister N Biren Singh following the attack at Moreh and the Home Ministry was later apprised of the development.
Saying that the Home Ministry has sent one helicopter to transport supplies for the security forces, Govindas maintained that the Government has received information of Central forces providing arms and ammunition to the State forces at Moreh.
Govindas continued that they have started taking up action to send even para commandos to Moreh to drive out Kuki narco-terrorists but not the civilian Kukis.
