Red Shield Div organises medical camp

Imphal, January 18 2024:
Medical and dental team of Red Shield Division of the Indian Army conducted medical camps in five villages in Kangpokpi district as part of Operation Sadbhavana, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to PRO PIB (Defence Wing), 254 individuals from Molhoi, Khunkho Kuki, Khunku Naga, Machangram and Dwarika availed essential check-ups, medical advice and dental treatment by an expert team of medical personnel of the Army during which prescribed medicines were also provided to the villagers.
Beyond the immediate healthcare support, medical team seized the opportunity to raise awareness among villagers about the significance of maintaining a healthy body and adopting a lifestyle that prevents lifestyle-related diseases, the PRO informed, adding that the camp served as a platform to educate the community on proactive health practices.
Informing that the efforts of the Medical Team received commendation from village authorities, acknowledging the positive impact on the well-being of the local population, the PRO conveyed that the Indian Army remains committed to contributing to the health and welfare of the communities it serves.
