Many appeal for temporary halt of money collection

Many associations continue to make appeals to halt daily/monthly collection of loan installment, interests, tenders etc in light of the present volatile climate prevailing in the State.
In this regard, Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Women's Development Association has requested all micro finance banks and other private banks to stop monthly collection of loan installments in the surrounding areas of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai.
N Sunita, secretary, Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Women's Development Association urged the bank officials to recognize the hardships of the people, many of whom have lost their livelihoods and refrain from making collections.
Similarly, N Biren, president of Meitei Community Joint Coordinating Committee an apex of 18 clubs from Waithou to Kiyam Siphai, Haokha and Thoubal Khunou has also appealed against collection of daily/monthly loan installment, interest, tender etc.
Top Chingtha Youth Progressive Organisation (TYPO) secretary Loitongbam Ojit Singh also made the same appeal to private bank authorities.
