Humanitarian aid extended

To help the people affected by the ongoing conflict in the State, the Keishamthong Top Leirak Development Committee, Imphal has provided relief materials & financial aid to village volunteers and relief camps set up at various places.
According to a release signed by M Biswajit Singh, secretary Keishamthong Development Committee, relief materials and financial aid of Rs 15,000 each were provided to Terakhongsangbi Makha Leikai, Phougakchao Ikhai Awang Leikai and Phougakchao Ukhai Mamang Leikai.
Keishamthong Top Leirak Development Committee also provided relief materials and an amount of Rs 25,000 to the relief camp set up in Laipham Youth Association cum Makha Youth Centre, Kakching district.
Moreover, Khoimom Tengbang Lup has also extended monetary assistance to Hijam Sangkar who is currently receiving medical treatment at JNIMS Hospital after sustaining injuries in the Khamenlok incident of June 13 .
Volunteers of Khoimom Tengbang Lup personally visited Hijam Sangkar at JNIMS Hospital and handed over the monetary sum today while also wishing him a speedy recovery.
It may be noted that nine Meitei volunteers were killed in the Khamenlok incident while numerous others were injured.
