Trucks stranded

About 227 goods carrying trucks are still stranded in Jiribam due to the multiple landslides at Noney areas of National Highway-37 a couple of days back.
According to reports culled from the site, the stranded vehicles include 145 LPG trucks, 22 tanker trucks carrying petrol, one tanker truck carrying kerosene, 17 trucks carrying items for shops, seven tanker trucks carrying aviation fuel and 35 tanker trucks carrying diesel.
Meanwhile, a team of district administration led by SDO Noney Paorarung monitored the landslide affected points along the highway stretch while the clearance of debris is being done by NHIDCL deploying heavy machinery.
According to a report from SDO Noney, 12 cases of landslides and mudslides took place in Noney recently.
