PWF distributes financial assistance to 7 beneficiaries

Imphal, August 18 2023:
Paomee Welfare Foundation (PWF), All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU)'s non-profit Trust, on Friday disbursed Rs 1.85 lakh as assistance under its Medical Financial Assistance (MFA) Phase II for the 2022-23 .
In a release, PWF also invites application for MFA (first phase) for the year 2023-24 for treatment expenditure incurred between April 1 and September 31 the disbursement for which will be done in Oct-Nov 2023 .
PWF's team, led its managing trustee and AMWJU president Kakchingtabam Bijoy, senior trustees Ningthoukhongjam Tombiraj and PWF secretary Sunzu Bachaspatimayum handed over the financial assistance to the seven beneficiaries at a distribution function held at the Manipur Press Club.
Soibam Milan of ISTV who underwent riblung injuries received the maximum assistance of Rs 40,000, while Niranjan Oinam of The People Chronicle and Sanjoo Thangjam of Morning Bells who applied for assistance on behalf of their immediate fainily members received Rs 30,000 each.
Loushigam James Singh, a reporter of Paonilkhon who unfortunately succumbed to his ailment after undergoing treatment for multiple disorders like metabolic syndrome/acute respiratory distress was given Rs 30,000 which was received by his father L Mangi Singh.
Samungou Sanasam of ISTV and Akoijam Pompok Meitei of Impact TV received financial assistance of Rs 20,000 each for their immediate family members.
While Thoudam Surjakanta of Naharol Thoudang who applied for his mother's humerus bone fracture treatment was awarded Rs 15,000, it informed.
