Gunmen shoot three drug traffickers

Thoubal, August 18 2023: Unidentified gunmen shot three alleged drug traffickers on their legs at the tri-junction of Yairipok-Charangpat road under Yairipok police station in Thoubal district on Friday.

The alleged drug traffickers are identified as Md Musharaf (20) son of Md Tomba of Yairipok Bamon Leikai, Md Ruhish (18) son of Md Sariyat of Yairipok Ningthounai Ngoubong Keithel and Md Warish (24) on of late Md Nazir Ahamed of Yairipok Singa Mathak Leikai.

A team of Yairipok police station and CDO Thoubal pickd up the trio from the spot and provided first aid at CHC Yairipok before reffering them to a hospital in Imphal.

Yairipok PS has registered a case in this regard.

According to local sources, the trio drug traffickers coming on an i20 car was nabbed by the unidentified gunmen along with 1kg Heroin.
