Bishnupur, December 24 2023: The mass social service drive organised by eight womens' organisations of Moirang under the theme "Save Loktak lake and save environment" drew to a close today.

It reportedly kicked off on December 18 .

On the last day of the mass social service, the eight organising groups namely Historical Heritage Development Organisation, Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup, Moirang Kendra Apunba Meira Paibi Ima Lup, Village Volunteer Force, Indigenous Development Mission, Khamba Thoibi Dance Academy, Kege Moirang Kangleirol Kanba Lup and Moirang Thangjing Yageirel Marup carried out a cleanliness drive from Moirang Sendra Road to Omba Nurathel Garden and the surrounding regions of Mamang Chingjao.

Moirang Assembly Constituency MLA Thongam Shanti was also present to supervise the drive.

Other attendees include N Thaba, secretary, MAMPIL and M Somorjit, representative, Village Volunteer Force among others.
