NIA takes over case

Imphal, February 16 2024:
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the case registered at Lamsang police station in connection with the missing of four persons on November 7 .
The four persons went missing near Kangchup Chingkhong while travelling from Churachandpur to Leimakhong.
The NIA filed an application before the Special Court of NIA Manipur with a prayer to direct the Investigating Officer of Lamshang police station to hand over all documents and seized material exhibits, if any, of the case to the Chief Investigating Officer of NIA.
The application mentioned that the Ministry of Home Affairs directed them to take over the case recently.
The Court on perusal of the application directed the IO concerned to hand over all the case related documents and seized material/exhibits, if any, to the Chief Investigating Officer of NIA at the earliest.
