ZNCM reminds CM of promise made

The Zeme Naga Council Manipur (ZNCM) urged chief minister N Biren Singh to materialise the promises he made during the visit to Ze Mnui (Yangkhullen) on May 9, 2022 .
In a statement, ZNCM asked the government to take action as assured and committed to the people of Yangkhullen region by N Biren, the first chief minister to visit one of the oldest Zeme inhabited villages of the state.
It said that people of the region had the opportunity to warmly receive the CM with much enthusiasm for his unwavering support to remote areas of the state and also the changes he made after taking over the government.
The ZNCM had highlighted various needs of people of the region and some including a separate TD-Block for Yangkhullen DCC are still pending.
For safety and security in the region, the area desperately need police station at Bendramai and police out post at Tamphung as the nearest PS is at Maram, some 60km, the statement said.
The ZNCM also urged government to resume Manipur State Transport (MST) bus service along NH-129A from Senapati to Tamphung village as road condition has improved and pliable for any season now.
