Imphal, February 16 2024:
The proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) reportedly observed the 20th Raising Day of its armed wing Meeyamgee Yawol Lanmee (MYL) as 'Lanmee Gi Numit' on Friday.
According to a KYKL statement, the 20th Raising Day of MYL was observed at outfit's central headquarters (CHQ), battalion headquarters (BHQ), central unit command and units, both in and outside Kangleipak (Manipur).
Unfurling of outfit's flag, homage to martyred cadres and speeches by chairman and MYL chief of army staff were highlights of the observance at CHQ, the KYKL statement issued by publicity and research secretary A Yaiphaba mentioned.
Giving brief account of chairman's speech at the event, the KYKL statement said the present chaotic and fragile situation in Kangleipak (Manipur) is being brought by India's complete control of economy and administration after the forcible merger of Kangleipak and subsequent handing over of governance to 'namesake' administrators.
Kanglei society is now completely destroyed by 'chess move' from Delhi and they are now able to shape Kangleipak (Manipur) as per their wishes while 'namesake' administrators of the land who contradict wishes of the people bow down to the Mayangs (mainland Indians).
Begging and lying have become behaviour of the Kanglei people thereby developing a feeble society, where people live as if dead, and India has to adopt such policy compulsorily to extinct Kanglei people, the KYKL statement quoted the chairman as saying at the event adding that the present situation is a gift India gave to the Kanglei people.
