BJP MLAs reach Delhi

Majority of the State BJP MLAs/Ministers have reached Delhi to attend a National Council meeting of BJP which would be held at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi on February 17 and 18 in connection with the Lok Sabha election 2024 .
BJP National office invited BJP MLAs/Ministers of the State including the Chief Minister as well as BJP Manipur Pradesh office bearers, BJP National Council members and BJP district presidents.
Chief Minister N Biren too booked a flight to go to Delhi but the flight ticket was later cancelled in view of the prevailing situation in Manipur, sources informed.
Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam and PHED Minister Leishangthem Susindro alias Yaima too cancelled their flight tickets.
Nonetheless, Power Minister Thongam Biswajit, RD&PR Minister Yumnam Khemchand, Social Welfare Minister Heikham Dingo, Education Minister Th Basantakumar, MLAs Thounaojam Shyamkumar, Karam Shyam, Dinganglung Gangmei, S Premchandra, Kh Joykisan, S Kebi, Kh Ibomcha, Tongbram Robindro and Sapam Kunjakishore have reached Delhi today.
BJP Manipur Pradesh vice-president Oinam Lukhoi and general secretary Pangambam Premananda too have reached Delhi.
Some other BJP MLAs/Ministers of the State may join them at Delhi tomorrow, sources informed.
Some other BJP MLAs including Lourembam Rameshwar reached Delhi from Guwahati this evening.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda, a few other MLAs and BJP office bearers are already at Delhi.
The BJP National Council meeting would deliberate on the Lok Sabha election 2024 and how BJP would ensure Narendra Modi's third term as the country's Prime Minister.
The meeting may also deliberate on how BJP should fight the election in both Inner and Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituencies in the backdrop of the protracted crisis besieging the State, said the sources.
BJP MLAs/Ministers from the State may also discuss the Manipur crisis with several BJP National leaders and possible solutions, added the sources.
