Chandel, December 24 2023:
Highlighting the dire state of infrastructure and banking services in Chakpikarong, the Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (Anal Naga Students' Union) Chakpikarong Branch (ALT CB) has called for corrective actions from the concerned authorities.
In a statement issued by RT Sainial, president, ALT CB has pointed out the poor quality construction of Chakpikarong Community Health Centre, incomplete road constructions and SBI Chakpikarong Branch which has reportedly remained unoperational for over 7 months.
Going into detail, ALT CB stated that it inspected the Chakpikarong Community Health Centre building and found significant defects, including cracks on the walls and use of substandard materials for the construction.
It asserted that this has compromised the safety and integrity of the health centre and called for immediate investigative and corrective measures from the relevant authority.

In addition, ALT CB also zeroed in on the incomplete road construction from Chakpikarong to Challong Lamkhai and Chakpikarong to Thorcham.
ALT CB maintained that the unfinished state of the road not only disrupts connectivity but also poses safety risks for residents.
Equally concerning is the lack of maintenance for the already completed segments, further exacerbating the road's deteriorating condition, it added.
Furthermore, the unoperational status of the SBI Chakpikarong Branch for more than seven months has hampered financial transactions, hindering economic activities and creating a sense of insecurity among the community members.
Stating that these issues collectively reflect the dire state of infrastructure in Chakpikarong, ALT CB conveyed hope that shedding light on these challenges will prompt the concerned authorities to tackle these issues at the earliest for the well-being and development of the Chakpikarong community.
