State Kune-Do players clinch 16 gold medals at South Asian event

State Kune-Do players won 16 gold medals to help India emerged as the overall team champions of the 4th South Asian Jeet Kune-Do Championship held at Kathmandu, Nepal.
The three-day-long competition wrapped up on April 19.The state team also took a silver, in addition to the 16 gold medals.
Both K Lanchenba Singh (-51kg category) and Okram Jiban Singh (-75kg) bagged two gold medals in LC and hand forms.
Other top finishers were Ashwini Khangembam (-47kg), Th Borish Meitei (-46kg), Lisham Arnold Singh (-49kg), Lanchenba Nongthonbam (-52kg), S Thoinao Singh (-64kg), Samom Kenedy Singh (-55kg), Ch Ningthem Singh (-50kg), Sinam Chrisy (-60kg), P Manglemjao Singh (-65kg), Anushree Rajkumari (-46KG), L Geetanjali Devi (-70kg), Ch Chanchan Devi (-48kg).Salam Lingjelngamba (-28kg) was the silver medallist.
Dr Moirangthem Ibomcha (coach & technical official) ahd L Inaoba Singh (manager) led the state team.
