MPA, however, had a shocking start to the chase losing openers, Okram Hari and Lanchenba Thounaojam (golden duck) on ducks and eventually crumbled to 89 runs all out in 17.4 overs as KASC bowling attack led by Syed Raesh Ahamad (4/26 in 5 overs) and Md Rahis Khan (3/10 in 4.4 overs) proved effective.
Soram Naoboy (19 runs), Elangbam Rohit (14 runs) and Thounaojam Suhan (10 runs) were the double digit scorers for MPA in the innings which also saw middle order batters, Th Wealson and Ch Albish departing on golden ducks.
Md Rahis Khan who shone with both the bat and the ball, was named man of the match.
Meanwhile at Heinoupok, Booker Kangjam's seven wicket haul (7/20 in 5.3 overs) for KCDO went in vain as their batters failed horribly and the team slumped to 72 runs in 16.4 overs in the chase after bowling out Blue Hawk for 146 runs in 21.3 overs.
Md Altaf Shah took centre stage in Blue Hawk innings as he smashed nine fours en route to his knock of 45 runs off 53 and Dhanashyam starred with a quickfire 30 off 9 balls by hitting four fours and two sixes late on.
Lucky Thokchom of KCDO too had shared the spotlight with Boocker Kangjam by dispatching 3 of KDCO bowlers giving 25 runs in his spell of 6 overs.
But the chase was disastrous for the Kongpal team as medium pacer Soibam Sayonba notched up 5 wickets in 2.3 overs while sparing not a single run and spinner Rex Waikhom grabbed 3 wickets for 19 runs in 5 overs.
Six KCDO batters were dismissed for naught including two golden ducks after Lucky Thokchom (15) and Boocker Kangjam (23) showed their scoring prowess.
Soibam Sayonba who scalped 5 crucial wickets to ensure Blue Hawk a big win was adjudged man of the match.
