Imphal, January 29 2022:
Kuki Sporting Club (KSC), Kangpokpi beat Classic FA, Chingmeirong 1-0 to grab the title of the 12th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament 2021-22 .
The final match, even though turned out to be a low scoring encounter, was a closely fought affair with two sides trading a series of runs in regular intervals.
Setting their sights on the title, CFA pressed hard, more often in the right flank but KSC defence stood firm to deny any penetration for a major portion of the opening half.
KSC, who also clinched Winners' Cup title recently, concentrated today more in defending their fort and relied mostly in counter attack to create scoring chances until Ginminthang latched onto a fine cross from the left and sent home the opener in the 24th minute.
