12th AMFA Sr Women's Football League 2021-22 : YWC seal narrow 1-0 win to close gap on leaders KRYPHSA

YWC, Langthabal were able to seal a 1-0 win over WFA, Kakching in the ongoing 12th AMFA Senior Women's Football League here at Artificial turf, Khurai Lamlong to close the gap on league leaders KRYPHSA to just two points as the latter suffered a 0-1 loss to ESU in another match today.
The day also saw MPSC, who played out a goalless draw with ESU in the previous outing, registering a comfortable 3-0 win over ICSA, Irengbam.
In the 22nd match of the tournament staged this morning, ESU rode on Mandakini's 20th minute strike to earn a 1-0 win over leaders KRYPHSA.
With the win ESU continued to stay third in the league table with 14 points from 8 matches (4 wins and 2 draws) .

Later in the second match of the day, MPSC's Sanathoi ran riot to help her team pull off a comprehensive 3-0 win over ICSA, Irengbam.
Sanathoi found the breakthrough in the 26th minute before completing her brace the very next minute while her compatriot Ksh Naocha had her way for the third goal in the 36th minute and gave MPSC a 3-0 first half lead.
Despite some close calls, ICSA failed to even score a face-saving goal in the second half and eventually MPSC walked home 3-0 for their fourth win in 8 matches in the 6-team double league tournament.
In the penultimate match of the day, YWC who were 5 points away from leaders KRYPHSA (21 points after 7 matches) managed to extend their winning ways by beating bottom placed WFA, Kakching 1-0 for the 6th win in 8 matches.
The lone goal that separated YWC from WFA today was scored by L Meneka in the 40th minute.
Next matches are due to be held on January 31 (ESU vs ICSA from 10 am; KRYPHSA vs YWC from 12.15 pm and MPSC vs WFA from 2.15 pm) .
