MPSC romp as YWC scrape past WFA in Senior Women's League

YWC withstood a spir-ited fight from WFA to eke out a 1-0 win to close the gap on table leaders KRYPSHA in the 12th Senior Women's Football League, while MPSC enjoyed an easy day as ESU edged past KRYPSHA 1-0 in Saturday's fixtures.
YWC were rewarded for their 40th-minute goal by L Meneka as the side en-dured WFA's still challenge to emerge the victors.With the result, YWC stay second in the standings with 19 points from eight games.
The Langthabal side are now just two points behind leaders KRYPSHA, who sit atop the standings with 21 points from eight matches.KRYPHSA were deprived of full points after losing 1-0 to ESU in their Saturday en-counter.
ESU won the match courte-sy of M Mandakini, who netted the important goal in the 20th minute .
The win propelled the Wangkhei squad to third in the standings with 14 points from eight games.MPSC, meanwhile, romped past ICSA 3-0 to remain fourth.L Sanathoi opened the scor-ing in the 26th minute and went on to double the lead in the space of one minute before Ksh Naocha tripled the advantage in the 36th min-ute to help their side secure a dominant victory.
