PTCC, YUCC reach 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tourney quarters

Imphal, April 18 2023:
PTCC-Patsoi Part III and YUCC-Kwakeithel Moirangpurel recorded their third wins today in the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament to seal their places in the quarter finals (knock-out) .
At PCC ground Mayaikoibi, YUCC went top of Group B table beating KASC-Khomidok by 147 runs for third win in four matches.
YUCC amassed a massive 242 runs for 10 wickets in 25.5 overs after electing to bat first with K Malangba (54) and M Ricky (69) hitting half centuries and bowled out KASC for just 95 runs in 14.3 overs courtesy of M Ricky (4/25) and Arun Khumanthem (4/26) .

M Amitkiyon (30) and Premson Mayanglambam (20 not out) managed significant scores for YUCC in their innings which saw Leishangkhong Maquibul Fida Ali (3/42), Md Sakif Hussain (2/48) and Md Abdulgani (2/44) claiming wickets for KASC.
In the chase, KASC were never in contention as Ricky and Arun combined well to dismantle them for a paltry total.
Ricky was eventually adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile in a Group A match at PTRC Ground, PTCC beat Model Club-Singjamei Chingamathak by 4 wickets courtesy Dhirendrakishor's 94* quickfire off just 47 balls after they bowled out Model Club for 153 runs in 29.3 overs.
PTCC's Nungchenba (4/16) and Davas Tongbram (2/19) made the Model Club struggle throughout their innings and it was Suraj Sagolshem who scored the highest 39 in 71 balls.
Chasing 154 runs for the win, Dhirendrakishore saw his partners fell cheaply but smacked 10 fours and 6 sixes on the way to his unbeaten 94 and took the team to victory in just 13.2 overs with four wickets left to spare.
N Korounganba of Model Club picked two wickets in this innings as Suraj Sagolsem and Yaioiba Ningomba managed a wicket each.
Dhirendrakishore who shone with the bat was adjudged man of the match.
