Imphal, April 18 2023:
Communist Party of India (Marxist), Manipur State Committee secretary Ksh Shanta has said that the allegation levelled against PM Narendra Modi by former Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Satya Pal Malik is very serious which merits clarification from the PM, personally.
According to Shanta, CPI (M) Manipur endorses demand raised by the Polit Bureau of CPI (M) that PM Modi should come out clean and answer all the allegations raised by Satya Pal ' Malik in conection with the Pulwama terrorist attack.
He recalled that 40 CRPF personnel were killed in the attack that took place on February 14, 2019 and it was a huge security issue for the country.
In an interview, Satya Pal Malik disclosed that CRPF demanded helicopter for transportation but the Centre denied the proposal and the Pulwama terrorist attack occurred due to lapses on the part of the government.
Satya Pal Malik also disclosed that he apprised PM Modi about the incident and lapses of the government but PM told him to keep quiet.
The allegation levelled by Satya Pal Malik and abrogation of Article 370 and 35A from Jammu & Kashmir thereby dividing erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state into two Union Territories are very relevant.
The Modi government's silence on these issues has very grave implications for the national security and the unity and integrity of India, Shanta said, adding that Modi government cannot remain silent and should give answers to the allegations keeping in mind the sanctity of national security and Constitution.
