Science awareness programme concludes

The two-day Science awareness programme cum exhibition held as a part of the children centric programme for strengthening science knowledge of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students concluded today at The Thaimei Guigangpou English School, Thaninkhun in Bishnupur district.
The programme was organised by the Work Ignites Life's Lullaby (WILL) Association Manipur under the sponsorship of the Department of Science and Technology Division of NCSTC, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Science related lectures were delivered by eminent resource persons namely Dr Tampak Meena, Ecology and Environment, DSAC Irilbung; Dr L Somarjit, former Associate Professor of Botany Department, Imphal College; Social Activist Dr Kiran Yendrembam; L Joy Singh, faculty of National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NEILIT), Akampat and Dr Ksh Bijayalaxmi Devi, Assistant Professor of Pravabati College Mayang Imphal.
Prizes were distributed today to the winners of the drawing and essay competition held during the two-day science awareness cum exhibition.
