MNCA Elite Tournament : Shahadat stars as Al-Ameen hand Blue Hawk fifth straight loss

Khulakpam Shahadat enjoyed a four wicket haul after adding significant 31 to help Al-Ameen- Lilong post a huge 143 run victory over Blue Hawk-Khurai Lamlong in the 30th match of the ongoing MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament.
Opting to bat first here at Khangabok Part III Public Ground, Al-Ameen posted a competitive total of 214 runs for 9 and bowled out Blue Hawk for just 71 runs within 24.3 overs to seal their third victory in as many as four matches.
Nawaz and Md Safwan gave Al-Ameen a solid start forging 59 runs in 8.2 overs before Md Safwan holed out to N Jackiechand off the bowling of Semson Soibam the next delivery.

Nawaz then gathered another 53 runs with Md Al Bashid before he was caught out for the highest 70-ball 65 off Gautam Soibam's 4th delivery of the 21st over as the scoreboard read 112 .
Al Bashid then held up to forge a 52-run partnership with Khulakpam Shahadat Ali (31) for the third wicket but Jitendra Bishan Thakur trapped Shahadat Ali lbw at 164 in 31.1 overs before Mustaque Mohammed was bowled out by Jackiechan for the fourth wicket.
Al Bashid (69-ball 40) then fell prey to Chinglensana Rajkumar for the fifth wicket at 169 runs in 33.3 overs and Md Nasirshah Alam Nongjaimayum got run out for 3 runs.
Even as Boboicha Thokchom hit an unbeaten 33 off 20 balls, he saw three of his partners fell to Jitendra Bishan Thakur and the run rate dipped further before the innings ended at 214 for 9 .
Jitendra returned with the best figures of 4/37 in 8 overs as four others picked a wicket each.
In reply, Blue Hawk were given a torrid time as Md Nasirshah Alam removed the openers cheaply within 8.3 overs with 30 runs on the board before Md Karim removed the third and 4th wickets in the 10th and 12th over to leave their rivals struggling at 38/4.Khulakpam Shahadat Ali then leave further dent to their chase by removing three wickets on the trot including two- N Ajit (10) and Samsung Heisnam (2-ball duck) in the 3rd and the 5th delivery of the 20th over, to reduce Blue Hawk to 69 for 7 in 21.5 overs.
Habibullah then scalped the 8th wicket by setting up Chinglensana RK catch in the 23rd over before Shahadat Ali completed his four wicket haul by bowling out Mutum Pritam for 1 in the following over.
Habibullah then took honour to wrap up the chase by bowling out Jitendra Bishan Thakur for 14-ball 6 .
Khulakpam Shahadat, who produced an allround performance was eventually adjudged man of the match.
