District Skill Mela conducted

District Skill Committee, Bishnupur today organised a District Skill & Employment Mela at Moirang College under the theme, "Vision to create skilled human capital & generate employment/ self-employment" .
It was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, L Bikram; ADC/ADM Bishnupur, H Boby Sharma; Moirang College principal, Kh Jugindro; and MSSD Manipur joint director, RK Amarjit as presidium members.
As part of the event, L Bikram also inaugurated a Moirang Skill Development Centre at Moirang College.
Altogether, 32 stalls consisting of Classic Group of Hotels, SSS, Greencan, Samadon Maruti, Moirang Phijol, Oinam Ibohal Polytechnic and Globizs were opened at the Mela.
Moreover, District Skill Committee, Senapati also conducted a District Skill Mela at Multipurpose Hall, opposite DC Office, Mini- Secretariat Complex, Senapati on Thursday.
It was attended by DC Senapati, Mahesh Choudhari; M Kapajit Singh, ADM Mao; SDOs, DLOs, NGOs, young entrepreneurs and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Chaudhari stated that the Skill Development Orientation Programme conducted last year has been fruitful and benefited the people of Senapati.
He mentioned that about 45 persons got the placement in different sectors after attending the programme.
Dr Navanath Sharia from IIIT Senapati also presented a PPT on "Awareness on application of Drone Technology and Educational Opportunities at IIIT Senapati" .
Major Nikhil Bishnoi of 33 Assam Rifles; Leshini Krechena, Adakho Kaisa Maheo and Kehrii Mariiphro also spoke on the occasion.
Altogether, 18 stalls consisting of IIIT Senapati, CAU, JACEEX, CIPET, NIELIT, Go Aviator, KVK Senapati, KVK Imphal East, OZONE, JCRE, Entrepreneurs Associate, Skill Traders, MANEDA, AMYAA NGO, 33 Assam Rifles, VDVKs, Emporium, Times PRO ICICI Bank, Agriculture Department were opened at the Skill Mela.
During the Mela, various women products made in Senapati including EZ barrak green tea, Rose stop Pastry, The hills Candy, Daipa SHG Handloom, Lungsa SHG pickle, Constance Jewelry and Chalai's florist were also officially launched.
Meanwhile, Maram Battalion under the aegis of Jwalamukhi Sector Assam Rifles conducted an interactive session on importance of skill development and opportunities to join the Security Forces at the District Skill Mela.
