U-14 Girls' Inter Club Football : YWC-L drub WFA 7-0 for fourth win on trot

The Young Welfare Club (YWC)-Langthabal overwhelmed Women Football Academy (WFA)-Kakching for the fourth successive victory in the U-14 Girls Inter Club Football Tournament being organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
It was an own goal by WFA's Chungkham Sachina Devi in the 6th minute that helped YWC-L go ahead before Sorokhaibam Lakhipiyari found the back of the WFA net back to back in the 7th and the 14th minute to make it 3-0.Aganina Wahengbam then scored another goal in the 15th minute to hand YWC-L a 4-0 first half advantage.
After the break, Sorokhaibam Silky Devi banged in the team's fifth in the 43rd minute before Loukrakpam Seityamala Devi further extended the lead to 6-0 with a clinical finish in the 51st minute.
Substitute Laishram Bidyalaxmi Devi then drilled home the final nail in the 70th minute.
Youth Welfare Club (YWC)-Thambalkhong in the meantime sealed their second victory with a 5-1 thrashing of Wangoi Football Association (WAFA).
Angom Inunganbi Chanu (7', 29', 60') scored a hattrick including the opener to inspire the big win for the Thambalkhong Club.
YWC-Th were 3-0 ahead at halftime with Angom Inunganbi scoring twice and Soibam Jetlina (23') scoring in between.
WAFA pulled back a goal after 53 minutes courtesy of Mutum Basantipuja but the team failed to stage a comeback and saw Angom Inunganbi scoring her third in the 60th minute and substitute Lamneikim Haokip scoring the penultimate goal five minutes later to seal the game 5-1 for YWC-Th.Later in the third and the last match of the day, Chingkhamayum Redima Devi (27') and Lhingboichong Khonsai (80+1') scored a goal apiece to give FC Imphal a 2-0 win over ICSA-Irengbam.
