AMPFA celebrates 25th foundation day

The 25th foundation day of All Manipur Porgressive Fanners' Association (AMPFA) was observed today on the theme 'The possible impacts on the farmers and working classes owing to the arrival of trains in the State'.
Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) Project Director K Devdutta Sharma; AMPFA president Thouba Konthoujam and Wild Forest Institute of Skill Development CEO, Karam Asinikanta graced as the chief guest, president and guest of honour of the programme.
Speaking as the chief guest, K Devdutta Sharma expressed that it is high time to reflect on the static condition of farmers in the State.
He expressed that AMPFA serves as a platform to voice the opinions of the farmers in the State and maintained that the farmers' body should work sincerely for the welfare of the farmers.
AMPFA should also put valuable suggestions to the Government and should ensure that the farmers avail the benefits of the relevant departments, he added.
With regards to the arrival of trains in the State, he maintained that it will have a tremendous impact on the farmers and highlighted the importance of making concerted efforts to avoid any possible unwanted outcome.
He appealed to all farmers' bodies concerned to regulate agriculture produce marketing committees in all districts of the State.
