Imphal, January 09 2023:
All civil bodies should collectively work towards bringing unity and they should stop pushing only their separate agendas/issues concerning their respective communities, said Jitendra Ningomba, president of Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK).
He said this while speaking at the oath taking ceremony of newly inducted executives of the committee at its sub-head office at Wangkhei.
The newly inducted executives fortheterm2023-2025 include president Jitendra Ningomba, vice president Thiyam Saratchandra, Laishram Shyam Khuman, Lamabam Premila and Akash Maibam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Jitendra Ningomba said Manipur has more than 30 communities.
When the civil bodies of the respective communities prioritise and push only their issues, it threatens the united structure and affects the future of the State.
Appealing to the public and civil bodies to bring about unity, he said, all the works of the CCSK will be based on bringing unity and safeguarding the State's integrity.

Stating that all civil bodies should help one another in all good works, he said, CCSK and other CSOs coming together proactively to help Mao people in the recent land dispute was a positive step.
