MNCA Plate Tournament : Chourjeet bowls NCA to 8-wicket win over KCDO

NCA-Ningthoukhong clinched third win on the trot in 7th MNCA Plate Tournament Group B courtesy of an easy 8-wicket win over KCDO.
Chourjeet RK (5/30 in 8 overs) and Sushil Moirangthem (3/18 in 8 overs) wreaked havoc to help NCA bowl toss winners KCDO out for a paltry total of 82 runs in 19.4 overs.
NCA then chased down the target in just 12.3 overs courtesy Moirangthem Karamachand's unbeaten half century.
Chourjeet RK removed two top order batsmen of KCDO on ducks in the opening over to reduce the team to 6/2 before Sushil Moirangthem caught and bowled opener Md Umar Sheikh for 11-ball duck and bowled out Bikram Phandom for 2 in the 1st and the last delivery of the fourth over to make it 16 for 4.Wickets kept falling despite Prakash Nandeibam (38) trying to fix things before the innings was cut short within 19.4 overs as Chourjeet claimed three more wickets and Shinoj Khwairakpam removed Prakash off Sushil Moirangthem's catch.
In reply, NCA skipper Moirangthem Karamachand led from the front and found the boundaries 10 times including 3 maximums on the way to his unbeaten 59 off 42 balls and steer the team to winning 83 in just 12.3 overs with Angom Robinhood (5*).Netajit had removed Roshan Konthoujam for 1 in th* third minute and Mk Amal trapped N Sidarth lbw for 11 in the 10th over but failed to dampen NCA spirit as the target proved too small.
Raj Kumar Chourjeet of NCA who enjoyed a five-wicket haul to set up KCDO collapse was adjudged man of the match.
