SHADOW, PTCC cruise in MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament

SHADOW and PTCC strolled to comfortable wins in the MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament on Saturday.
SHADOW notched up a five-wicket victory against MPA in their Group B match at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.
MPA opted to bat and scored 122 after being bowled out in 20 overs.
In the innings, Ch Muhinikanta (21), Chinglensana (19) and T Ruman (18) were the main run-getters.
For SHADOW, Sagatpam Lanchenba proved to be the chef destroyer with a haul of four wickets, followed by Sagatpam Telheiba who claimed three wickets as Chinglemba Haobam took two.
SHADOW then chased down the target in 19.3 overs for the loss of five wickets.
Man of the match Sagatpam Lanchenba, who snapped four scalps, followed it up with a fine knock of 45 off 40 balls as his batting effort was supplemented by Sagatpam Telheiba's 37 and Kh Devis' 11 .
For MPA, Priyokumar and Suraj took two wickets each and Sitaranjan bagged one.
PTCC, on the other hand, outperformed PTRC by four wickets as Roneljit Ayekpam emerged as the batting hero for his team.
PTCC elected to field and restricted PTRC to 220/8 .
Bedabiyas Pheiroijam top-scored with 57 in their innings, followed by Venson Yumnam (29), Priyojit Thongam (28) and Mangal Sagolsem (13 not out) .
For PTCC, Harishor Mayangbam was the pick of the bowlers taking three wickets while Dhirendakishore, Devas, Nungchengba and Daniel got one each for their team.
In their run chase, Roneljit Ayekpam led from the front smashing 79 off 43 balls to propel PTCC to a comfortable four-wicket victory.
Other key contributors in the chase were Somobanta (35), Daniel (25 not out), Polenjit Mayengbam (19 not out) and Dhirendakishore (16) .
For PTRC, Ngambarel and Henba claimed two wickets each and Jackson bagged one in a losing cause.
