AR units conduct lectures

Imphal, April 15 2023:
Churachandpur Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (S) conducted a lecture on "Employment opportunity in various government jobs" for the youth and students at Convention English School at T Khongkhai village on Saturday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the event was organised in order to motivate the youth and young minds to get to know the rich tradition, history and glory of the Armed Forces and various government job opportunities in order to feel proud of their commitment and contribution to the nation.
The objective of the event was to create a sense of honour and instil a sense of pride in the young minds to join the Indian Armed Forces as well as avail the various job opportunities provided by the government and make them refrain from bad habits.
The event also included distribution of diaries and pen for students to motivate them.
A total of 40 students and youths from Govajang and T Khongkhai village attended the lecture.
The awareness programme was culminated with informal interactions, exchange of thoughts and sharing ideas of career building and ways of preparation for government jobs.
The villagers, youth, students and teachers of Convention School expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the noble gesture by Churachandpur Battalion.
Meanwhile, Somsai Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) organised lecture on "Benefits of planting Ayush herbal plants" at Poi village in Ukhrul district as part of events under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Saturday.
The villagers of Poi were educated on the benefits of planting Ayush herbal plants.
Different varieties of the herbs were also explained and their uses in daily life.
The locals whole-heartedly attended the event and expressed gratitude for organising an event of such beneficial topic.
