MNCA Superplate Tourney : YUCC beat KCC to climb atop Group B, TCMDC thump FORCE by 6 wickets

YUCC- Kwakeithel Moirangpurel defeated KCC-Kongba Bazar by 3 wickets to stretch their winning run to four games and dislodge KCC from top of Group B in the ongoing 2nd MNCA Superplate Tourney.
KCC opted to bat first at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak after winning the toss but got bundled out for 144 in 27.1 overs with YUCC's Khundrakpam Punshiba Mangang (4/36) and Kadamjit Moirangthem (4/29) enjoying four wicket hauls.
KCC failed to maintain their composure with YUCC bowlers making their best to cut the innings short.
Ningombam Tony with 28 runs was the highest scorer for the team followed by Nongmaithem Dijiraj and Wahengbam Somorjit (18) .

Ningthoujam Sanjit of YUCC also picked up two wickets before they took 29.4 overs to eclipse the total with three wickets left in hand.
Ningthoujam Thouba shone with his bat for YUCC scoring a 67-ball 53 while Ningthoujam Rohit, Ningthoujam Sanjit and Kadamjit Moirangthem added 22, 18 and 17 runs each.
The innings saw Kishan Wahengbam, Hijam Boba, Wahengbam Somorjit, Singthoi Nandeibam and Ningombam Tony of KCC claiming a wicket each.
Kadamjit Moirangthem who grabbed four wickets and added 17 crucial runs to set up the victory was declared man of the match.
In a Group A match held elsewhere at Khangabok Part III, Cherapur Public Ground, TCMDC- Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak crushed FORCE-Kshetrigao by 6 wickets.
FORCE who won the toss and opted to bat first succumbed to TCMDC bowling pressure for a meagre total of 70 runs in 15.3 overs and TCMDC chased down the target in the same 15.3 overs but with 6 wickets left to spare.
In FORCE's disastrous innings, Khusru Pravez with 13 runs was the highest scorer as Suraj Kharibam clinched three wickets and Rain Urikhinbam, Laishram Vivekananda and Huirongbam Babulu picked two wickets each.
Kongbrailatpam Kalyan Sharma of TCMDC also managed a wicket.
In reply, Huirongbam Babulu led the scoring with an unbeaten 29 and Sarangthem Priyobarta was also unbeaten on 13 as the team cruised to winning 73 for 4 wickets.
Md Sarif Alam, Khushru Pravex and Md Islauddin of FORCE managed a wicket each in a lost cause.
Suraj Kharibam of TCMDC was adjudged man of the match.
