Three-day international seminar concludes

Imphal, April 15 2023:
The three-day international seminar on 'Indian Tricolour at Moirang by INA: An Apostle of Courage and Valour of the Indian Independence Movement', which commenced from April 12, culminated at the Court Hall of Manipur University on Friday.
The seminar was jointly organised by Department of Ancient History & Archaeology, Manipur University; IGN Tribal University, Regional Campus, Manipur; Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati; Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana, New Delhi; Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Manipur; NG College, Imphal; Thai-Bharat Cultural Lodge, Bangkok; Indian Association of Thailand; Netaji Welfare Foundation, Malaysia & Malaysian Bangalee Association; and United India National Army Families and Activist Association.
The closing function was attended by Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr RK Ranjan as chief guest, Manipur University VC prof N Lokendra as president, and Akhil Bhartiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana, New Delhi national general secretary Hemanta Dhing Mazumdar as guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr RK Ranjan reminded that April 141s an important day in the history of India.
He continued that Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose is one of the key figures in the freedom struggle and documenting his contributions to the movement would be of great significance to the future generations.
Netaji's iconic "Give Me Blood, I Shall Give You Freedom" slogan gave strength to many.
As such, there is the need for organising similar seminars in the future so as to instil patriotic spirit amongst the youngsters, Dr Ranjan contended.
