Imphal, February 10 2023: A fire destroyed one rented room on the top floor of Eastern Handloom and Handicraft building at Paona Keithel this evening.

The incident took place at around 2.30 pm.

The ill-fated room didn't have electricity but the report said that the fire could have been ignited by the garbage which are highly inflammable.

The building belongs to Lourembam ongbi Manglembi, w/o L Shyam.

Shortly after the fire broke out, personnel of Manipur Fire Service rushed to the spot and doused it.

It is said that personnel of the City police station also contributed to dousing the fire.
