MLA Kayisii inspects Sub-Treasury Office

Tadubi MLA N Kayisii on Friday inspected the newly constructed Sub-Treasury Office of Tadubi.
Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, Kayisii expressed elation that the long cherished dreams of having a Sub-Treasury Office at Tadubi has been fulfilled.
Now it is in the hands of both the staff and the people to make it fully operational and success, he said and maintained that proper functioning and services will depend on the discipline and cooperation of both the staff and the public.
Kayisii also appealed for cooperation and availing the facility and opined that opening of Sub-Treasury Office at Tadubi will help ease the hardships faced by locals and surrounding villages who earlier had to go to Senapati.
The Sub-Treasury Office will become functional within the month.
It may be mentioned that Tadubi Block Office was set up in 1954 and is one of the oldest blocks in the state.
The demand for the Sub-Treasury Office at Tadubi by Bazaar Board dates back to 1984-85.The Mao Council under the leadership of (L) Mathibo Dili along with Tadubi Village Authority again appealed the government in 1995 and again in 2014-15 .
It was in 2017 an enquiry was carried out by the department.
The Sub-Treasury Office at Tadubi SDO Office was officially announced by chief minister N Biren in 2022.The inspection programme was attended by Treasury director Vivek Elangbam, joint director N Sudip Singh, Tadubi SDO Shyamkumar Singh, Tadubi STO Lamgin Singsit, Treasury staff officer Ninuo Joseph, Senapati PHED EE S Lohrii Mao, village authorities and locals.
