House okays Bills

The Manipur Legislative Assembly today unanimously passed the Manipur Appropriation Bills I and II, 2014 .
Responding to the observations and comments given by opposition bench on the Bills, Chief Minister O Ibobi stated that 80 per cent of the State's total population would be given beneficiary cards for National Food Security Act.
The State Government has completed formulating a poli-cy on AIDS.
After some additions and modifications, the policy would be tabled in the next session of the Assembly for due approval of the House.
It still needs serious assessment whether Forest staff appointed anew to check illegal lumbering in hills should be equipped with weapons or not.
The Government is also considering to open a super speciality hospital at Moi-rangkhom, Ibobi informed the House.
