Kh Joykisan calls for active participation of local clubs to curb rampant use of drugs among youths

Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency MLA, Khumukcham Joykisan highlighted the need of building a movement of local clubs in the State to curb the rampant use of drugs among the youths which is a matter of serious concern.
Kh Joykisan made the above statement while speaking as the chief guest at the 45th foundation day celebration of Peace & Humanity Labour Youths' Organisation (PHLYO) held today at Ima Nongaleima Community Hall, Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai.
The foundation day celebration began with the hoisting of PHLYO flag by Kh Joykisan and lighting of ceremonial lights.
The MLA expressed that the local clubs need to work sincerely and with dedication to strive for the development of their respective localities.
While lauding the active contributions made by the local clubs in times of need like the COVID-19 pandemic period, he underscored the importance of strengthening the local clubs and organizations which will eventually bring unity among the local people.
Further the MLA appealed to all concerned to carry out developmental works for the welfare of common people setting aside political agendas.
He also maintained that everyone should value time and be punctual.
Commending the active involvement of PHLYO members in people's welfare activities, he expressed belief that PHLYO will continue to work earnestly for the development of the locality.
The programme was also attended by PHLYO president Laishram Sarangajit Singh; Social Activist and former Sr.
SP Potshangbam Sonamani Singh; PHLYO former president Thoidingjam Budha and Advisor Women Wing of PHLYO Soubam Ibetombi Devi as the presidium members.
PHLYO general secretary James Thokchom delivered the keynote address of the programme.
