TAYSO silver jubilee celebration continues

The Silver Jubilee celebration of Taphou Area Youth & Students Organization's (TAYSO) continued today with cultural shows representing different tribes and communities residing in the Taphou area.
The event was graced by Col Anadi Atreya, Deputy Commandant, 59 Mountain Brigade; RD Ismael, president TAYSO and Robert T Maram, founding president of TAYSO among others.
Speaking on the occasion, RD Ismael appreciated the founding members for their hard work and added that the organisation has made significant progress in its 25 years of existence.
He also prayed that the jubilee may bring more unity, love, peace and progress among the communities living together under TAYSO.
Robert T Maram stated that the organisation was formed to foster unity, peace and progress among the villages of Taphou.
Representatives of different tribes and communities including Poumai Naga, Maram, Mao, Kuki, Nepali, Liangmei and Thangal performed traditional dances and songs to enthral the gathering.
