It further said armed movement for restoration of Manipur's lost sovereignty after India's annexation in 1949 continues unabated while India has been imposing various draconian laws thereby by granting special powers to its forces to suppress the movement.
There had been numerous incidents of killing of innocent civilians, torture and rape of women by Indian forces in Manipur but none of the guilty Indian security personnel have been ever punished and they are even given protection by denying prosecution sanction.
However, India claims itself to be the largest democracy, leading country in protection of human rights in the world and president of the UN Security Council for December month of 2022 .
In its report to UDHR, India gave its signature to protect rights of every people but it openly rejected the proposal to impose AFSPA-1958 in Maoists affected area of the country though one of the most draconian laws is being imposed in WESEA region to allow killings and torture.
This clearly shows that AFSPA is being imposed in WESEA region including Manipur (Kangleipak) for a long time to suppress rights of the people and occupy the region permanently, the CorCom said.
The CorCom contended that India has taken up steps to uproot all the indigenous people of Manipur (Kangleipak) ever since the annexation in 1949.Massacre, rape and subsequent killing of women, elimination of revolutionaries after arrest and torture of innocent civilians by security forces are all part of India's plan to uproot indigenous people of Manipur, it said, adding that massacre is another word for genocide.
Even though the Supreme Court ordered installation of CCTV camera in interrogation cell of every police station, those arrested by police are being interrogated independently and using third degree method of torture during interrogation.
In addition to Indian security personnel, central intelligence agencies including the Enforcement Directorate (ED), National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) torture innocent civilians including journalists in Manipur.
A report of the India's Ministry of Home Affairs claims that insurgency related activities in WESEA decreased by 80 percent between 2014 and 2022 but there is no let up in sending additional forces to the region and militarization continues unabated, the CorCom pointed out said and questioned the agenda behind enhancing militarization while claiming decline in insurgency activities.
It also said that people of WESEA region fully understand India's scheme to convert the region as military zone.
Apart from this, India has been openly looting precious natural resources of WESEA through imposition of colonial laws to crush indigenous people of the region.
India is attacking religion, language and culture of indigenous people of the region while claiming to be a secular state, the CorCom statement added.
On the auspicious global day, the CorCom appealed to the entire people of Manipur (Kangleipak) to fully understand India's treacherous agenda behind imposing black laws and fight it collectively for a bright future by launching a united movement for regaining the lost sovereignty.
