Active cases drop to 16

Imphal, September 26 2022:
Following discharge of eight positive persons after completion of surveillance period, the number of active cases in the State has dropped to 16 and all of them are from the general population.
Meanwhile, two individuals were confirmed positive out of 157 samples tested for the virus during the last 24 hours which implied a daily positivity rate of 1.3 per cent.
The two individuals who have been tested positive are residents of Chandel district.
The death toll remains unchanged at 2148 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is now 1,39,807 (general population 1,34,785 and Central security personnel 5,022) .
It includes 16 active cases and 1,37,643 recovered cases (general population 1,32,628 and Central security personnel 5,015).
The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.45 per cent.
Taking into account 482 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 32,29,341 (first dose 16,42,282, second dose 13,23,248 and precautionary dose 2,63,811) .
Till Sunday, 62.42 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid vaccines while 54.69 per cent has received double doses.
