Rural awareness programme concludes

A two-day long rural awareness programme organised by Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers' Education and Development under the Ministry of labour and employment, Regional Directorate, Imphal at Kwasiphai Maning Leikai Bishnupur community hall concluded on Saturday.
In a release, programme in-charge B Bobin Sharma informed that 39 farmers of Kwasiphai village took part in the awareness programme.
Speaking at the concluding function, Bishnupur DC Krishna Kumar highlighted the importance of the training programme to motivate and train the people in various sectors such as social security schemes of government, digital payment, financial literacy, Covid-19 awareness and self help group.
He also spoke about the importance of digital payment as it eases the payment system with the hand held devices, financial literacy, self help group to enhance and achieve a sustainable income by collective responsibilites of group members, practice of Covid appropriate behaviour and vaccination to effectively fight the contagious disease.
