Heirok Mandal Pension Scheme launched

In connection with the celebration of 71st birthday of PM Narendra Modi on Friday, BJP Heirok Mandal launched the "Heirok Mandal Pension Scheme" as part of "Seva Aur Samarpan" initiative during a programme held at the residence of Heirok AC MLA Thokchom Radheshyam on Saturday.
The pension scheme will cover senior citizens, widows and differently-abled persons who have not been benefitted by any of the government pension schemes.
For the first phase, 1500 beneficiaries will be given a pension amount of Rs 200 each per month.
During the programme, the MLA also distributed 10 kg of rice to select beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, Radheshyam recounted that PM Narendra Modi came from a humble background and is a selfless leader.
He is regarded as a "PM who is not a PM but an activist of the people", as shown by his love and care for the poor and other vulnerable sections of the society.
Following the example of the PM, BJP Heirok Mandal launched the pension scheme for senior citizens, widows and differently-abled people who have not received any help till date, he conveyed.
The MLA then urged the denizens of the AC to help promote and propagate the message of harmony, empathy and cooperation to other constituencies.
Mention may be made here that the birthday celebration of PM Modi held on Friday was attended by BJP Heirok Mandal president Th Chourjit, secretary N Brojen, convenor Laishram Rajmani, social welfare nominee M Tomba and others.
