SBI donates medical equipment

The State Bank of India (SBI) has handed over medical equipment worth Rs 15 lakh to the Medical Directorate, Government of Manipur under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The items were handed over to Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan during an event held at his residence at Lamphel Sanakeithel today.
Some of the medical equipment include stretchers, wheelchairs, respiratory resuscitators, pulse oximeters, blood sugar testing kit, stethoscope, first aid box, masks, hand sanitizers, crepe bandages and orthopaedic items, among others.
The simple function was organised by SBI Regional Business Office (RBO), Imphal.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sapam Ranjan highlighted the importance of healthcare sector in Manipur.
The Government's objective is to improve healthcare facilities in far flung areas of the State, he asserted.
Lauding the gesture made by SBI, the Minister also commended them for their invaluable contribution during the pandemic as well as for encouraging sports persons of the State.
Om Prakash Mishra, Deputy Managing Director (HR) and Corporate Development Officer (CDO) of SBI Mumbai Corporate Office also addressed the gathering and stated that the medical equipment had been handed over to the Medical Directorate with the goal of aiding the State Government in accomplishing their goal of improving health amenities.
He assured that similar activities will be carried out by SBI to benefit the people of Manipur.
The event was also attended by Dr Prakash Chand Saboo, General Manager (Corporate Communications & Marketing), Corporate Office Mumbai; Brigadier Pravin Shinde.
Chief Security Officer; Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Director, Health Services and officials of SBI RBO Imphal.
