12 fresh cases detected, 56 discharged

Imphal, August 18 2022:
Government bulletins on Thursday reported only 12 new positive cases from five districts out of 574 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering test positivity rate of 2.1 per cent.
The 12 fresh cases (5 males & 7 females) are residents of Imphal West (6), Imphal East (1), Churachandpur (3), Kakching (1) and Kangpokpi (1) districts.
Thursday also reported 56 recoveries in the last 24 hours from home isolation (16) and Shija Hospital (1), while 39 were already discharged cases which are pending for update.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases came down to 112, out of which 62 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Thursday.
The pandemic has claimed 2143 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,39,575 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 28 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 56 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 112 D-type and 19 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2227 vaccine doses administered on Wednesday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,23,977, out of which 12,96,009 had received the second dose and 2,30,175 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49740), Imphal East (30997), Thoubal (10285), Churachandpur (11234), Kangpokpi (3181), Tamenglong (3494), Bishnupur (9961), Senapati (2543), Ukhrul (3357), Kakching (6970), Chandel (2786), Noney (1172), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1051), and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (516), Thoubal (191) , Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (124), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
